Decorating with natural materials - KIRKENES

I remember the launch of the Ikea Sinnerlig collection in 2015. This collection, designed by Ilse Crawford, was all about soothing neutrals featuring cork tables, stools and accessories.  At that time it was a very renewable collection.

Ilse Crawford was asked by Ikea to work in natural material which was very appealing to bring to the physical quality to their range which, as Ikea said themselves, was very missing.  I was very inspired by this collection from the moment that I saw the first press images and when I saw the photos of the new wardrobe doors Kirkenes at Livet Hemma yesterday I got a bit of the same feeling!

I have always prefered a serene calm atmospere in my bedroom and to create an even more restful place, decorating with natural materials,  like the stunning new wardrobe doors Kirkenes, can really be of added value don't you think so?

The cork surface makes the room feel warm and knowing that cork is a recyclable material that comes from the long-lived corkscrew where the bark is regenerated and can be harvested many times,  gives me a very good feeling! The Kirkenes doors come in two sizes and fit PAX wardrobe bodies and because the surface of the cork is very durable it comes with a 10-year warranty.
